Dental Care for Pets

At Dental Care for Pets, we welcome you and your pet.

We understand that whether a pet attends to have their teeth cleaned or have a serious oral problem requiring specialist care, it is a stressful time.  At Dental Care for Pets, you can trust that your much loved pets are treated like they are one of our own, and be reassured that Dr David Clarke and his dental team, including a specialist anaesthetist, are the leading general and specialist veterinary dental group in Australia offering both basic and advanced dental and oral care.

Dental Care for Pets offers teeth cleaning, advice on home care programs for halitosis (bad breath) and suitable dental foods/products and toothbrushing techniques. We also offer advanced periodontal treatment and gum surgery, as well as, endodontic treatment (root canal therapy) to save many fractured and diseased teeth. Pre-purchase examinations, bite evaluations, deciduous tooth radiographs for showdogs, as well as genetic counselling, Orthodontic treatment and puppy and kitten dentistry. Repair and treatment for fractured or missing teeth including crowns and implants. Repair of fractured jaws and oral and maxillofacial surgery for treatment of soft tissue defects and oral cancer can be accommodated also.

Dental Care for Pets is easily accessible from all locations via the Monash (Exit 20E) and Eastlink Freeways. We take both referrals from your family Veterinarian and primary access cases (when a history is available from your veterinarian) most days of the week and perform surgery on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All pets require pre-anaesthetic blood work (usually performed by the referring Veterinarian) and will be placed on intravenous fluids (a drip) for the procedure, which are often performed on a day basis. If you would like an appointment and surgery on the same day (if appropriate) please tell the receptionist when making the booking.
